About the Role

Gympie Regional Council is seeking a full time Growth Management Coordinator on a 24-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Manager Planning Strategy and Growth, you will lead Council's growth management program and act as the technical authority on growth and development sequencing.

Duties
Lead Council's growth management program and deliver the Growth Management Strategy
Coordinate structure plans and development frameworks for priority growth areas
Manage strategic planning projects from planning through to delivery
Provide advice on land supply, growth opportunities and development sequencing
Work with infrastructure, finance, asset teams, State Government, developers and utilities

Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Development Management, Construction, or Project Management
Demonstrated experience in growth management or strategic land use planning in government
Extensive experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects and stakeholder coordination




Skilled negotiator and collaborator with sound professional judgement on complex growth issues
Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence (or ability to obtain) and availability for occasional after-hours work

Benefits
$120,225 to $127,632 PLUS 15% Super (increasing to 16% from July 2027)
