About the role

Join our team at Grounded 2050, a historic and iconic venue in Camperdown. This is a permanent full-time Chef position working 38 hours per week.

Key responsibilities
Creating meal plans, calculating expenses for both food and labour, and procuring necessary food supplies
Supervising the quality of dishes during all phases of preparation and presentation
Engaging in conversations about food preparation matters with Managers, Dietitians, and both kitchen and serving personnel
Illustrating cooking techniques and offering guidance on cooking procedures
Getting food ready and cooking it
Clarifying and ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations
Possibly recruiting and instructing staff
Potentially freezing and preserving food items

About you
Excellent English skills
The right to work in Australia




Certificate IV in commercial cookery or relevant qualification related to the field
Minimum of 2 years of work experience
Team management skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Solid time management skills
Proficiency in all aspects of food safety
Positive communication skills, energy and attitude
