About the role

You'll be the person who finds the right toy for customers—whether it's a grandparent with no idea what a five year old is into, a parent hunting for something to keep the kids busy on a long flight, or a family looking for that perfect birthday party present. You'll sort them out, and it's more fun than it sounds. You don't need to know the range on day one. We'll teach you and have fun bringing out the kid in you all over again.

Key responsibilities
Serve customers and help them find the right thing by asking the right questions, showing how things work, and making a recommendation you'd stand behind
Get to know the range—what's good for what age, what's popular right now, and what to suggest when the obvious choice is out of stock
Work the registers, handling sales, refunds and exchanges properly
Gift wrap items, as a lot of what we sell is a present and we wrap it like one
Keep the store looking good—shelves full and ticketed, displays tidy, and the floor protected for all
Get deliveries out by unpacking stock, checking it in, and getting it onto the shelf where it can sell
Pitch in with whatever the shift needs, alongside your Store Team Leader

About you
Warm and friendly, and you enjoy dealing with kids and their grown-ups




Happy on your feet and comfortable in a busy store
Reliable, honest and careful with cash and procedures
Willing to learn a big range of products
Available across a retail roster including weekends, late night trade and school holidays
Retail or customer service experience (handy, but not essential)
Keyholder experience—opening and closing a retail store (handy, but not essential)
Point of sale experience (handy, but not essential; ours is straightforward and we'll train you)
An interest in toys, games and what kids are into at the moment (handy, but not essential)
