About the role

Chop Butchery is hiring across multiple positions in the retail meat industry. Under current ownership with a renewed focus on stores, customers and people, we are expanding our team and looking for experienced, energetic and reliable people who want to build a long-term career within the retail meat industry.

Key responsibilities

Qualified & Experienced Butchers:
Cutting, preparing and displaying fresh meat
Customer service and product recommendations
Maintaining high presentation standards
Stock rotation and waste control
Food safety and workplace hygiene
Preparing value-added products and retail-ready cuts
Working as part of a fast-paced retail team

Retail Sales Team Members & Cashiers:
Serving customers
Providing product advice
Operating POS and EFTPOS systems
Maintaining displays
Restocking and merchandising
Keeping counters and customer areas clean and well presented
Assisting the butcher team during busy trading periods

Delivery Drivers:
Delivering fresh meat and retail products
Loading and unloading vehicles
Maintaining accurate delivery records




Providing professional customer service
Maintaining vehicle cleanliness
Following food safety and temperature-control procedures

About you
Reliable and punctual

Present professionally

Can work in a fast-paced setting
Understand the importance of food safety and cleanliness
Willing to learn and develop
For Butchers: Trade qualifications highly regarded, although experienced meat workers and butcher shop professionals also encouraged to apply
For Delivery Drivers: Must hold a current Australian driver's licence and have a strong driving record; experience driving refrigerated vehicles is advantageous
