Job Description

We're recruiting for a Sydney recruitment business that needs a hands on Finance Manager 3 days a week . You'll be the senior finance person and the one the Managing Director relies on for accurate numbers. It's not a role where you'll be stuck in one narrow area.

You'll be across financial control, compliance, a fortnightly contingent pay cycle and how the whole finance function runs.

Key Responsibilities: /n

Leading financial control, including month end close, cash flow and monthly reporting

/n
Preparing budgets and tracking actuals against forecast, with variance commentary the Managing Director can use

/n
Producing monthly commission reports

/n
Lodging payroll tax and BAS

/n
Coordinating external audits and government reporting across NSW, QLD and ACT, including Scheme 0007, Scheme 012 and GGCS0060 panels

/n
Managing insurances, WHS and workers compensation

/n
Overseeing the fortnightly pay cycle for 100+ contractors and contingent staff, including super

/n
Mentoring the Accounts Assistant, who looks after contractor pay and is keen to grow





/n
Improving processes and systems as the business evolves

/n

What We're Looking For: /n

/n
CPA or CA qualified

/n
Hands on experience in a small to mid size business, not just oversight

/n
Contingent pay cycle, debtor finance or audit experience

/n
Recruitment or labour hire background is a plus

/n
MYOB experience preferred, plus exposure to Astute, Job Adder, Employment Hero and Dext

/n
Articulate and qualified, with the confidence to represent the business to consultants and clients

/n
Consistent and dependable

/n
