Senior Contract Specialists (Multiple roles) - Perth CBD - Mining /n

Talent International is recruiting an experienced Contract Specialist to join one of our major mining clients and support the commercial delivery of a significant capital project.

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n
Support development, coordination, evaluation and execution of tender packages for construction contracts, equipment and services.

/n
Ensure procurement and contracting activities align with project objectives, schedules and compliance requirements.

/n
Negotiate contract terms, pricing and commercial positions to achieve appropriate risk profiles and value outcomes.

/n
Draft transparent contract terms, pricing schedules and supporting commercial documentation.

/n
Prepare contract award recommendations and documentation for internal approvals and execution.

/n
Administer contracts post-award, including claims management, payment claim assessments, correspondence, variations and close-out.

/n
Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors across multiple work packages.

/n
Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks throughout the procurement and contract lifecycle.

/n

Qualifications & Experience

/n

/n
Minimum 5 years of project-related contracting and procurement experience within mining, infrastructure, oil and gas or comparable capital projects.

/n
Exposure to Civils, NPI, SMP and EIC construction work packages.

/n
Tertiary qualification in law, commerce, engineering, construction management, quantity surveying or similar, or equivalent relevant experience.

/n
Sound capability in contract negotiation, administration and claims management.

/n
Understanding of project delivery models, construction contracts and commercial risk allocation.

/n
High attention to detail with the ability to produce explicit, accurate and commercially robust documentation.

/n
Proactive, accountable and outcome-focused approach with the ability to work independently and contribute to high-performing teams.

/n
Solid stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.

/n
