The purpose of the position is to provide production support to the Workshop team by fabricating & welding assemblies from detailed shop drawings.Key responsibilitiesCarry out welding, fabrication,



and processing of steel products in the factory as directed by the Workshop Foreman & Production Manager in a safe and productive mannerRead & interpret detailed shop drawings and mark out steelUndertake weld procedures and apply these to fabricated productsWelding of fabricated parts using GMAW & MMAW processes to in-house welding procedures in line with AS**** (CC3 accredited Fabricator)Check and test work performed by themselvesMaintain tools and equipment in an productive and safe operating conditionMaterial handling using overhead crane and forkliftFollow company HSE policies and proceduresAbout youAbility to work safely in a heavy steel fabrication environmentCompetence in use of factory equipmentAbility to read and interpret drawings and specificationsBe able to receive instructions and communicate in the English languageAbility to follow Quality procedures as they apply to AS/NZS **** and AS ****
