Registered Nurse – General Practice & Urgent Care
Total GP Care Norwood is located within a private urgent care centre (Total Urgent Care), conveniently situated just 3 km from the CBD.
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurses to join our growing team.
We have multiple positions available, including full-time, part-time and casual opportunities, with work available across a 7-day roster.
About the Role
The successful candidates will work alongside our experienced General Practitioners and healthcare team, providing high-quality nursing care across both general practice and urgent care settings.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting consulting General Practitioners as required
Urgent care triage and patient treatment
Immunisations and vaccination programs
Spirometry
Wound care and dressings
Assisting with minor procedures
Chronic disease management
Health assessments and preventative health care
Providing high-quality, patient-centred nursing care
Working autonomously while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current AHPRA registration
Current CPR certification
Current police clearance
Advance Life Saving Certificate is desirable
Minimum 2–3 years' experience in General Practice or a hospital setting
Minimum 1–2 years' experience in acute care




Extensive experience with immunisation programs and procedures
A strong interest and passion for Chronic Disease Management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong computer literacy
Previous experience using Best Practice software will be highly regarded
A commitment to providing compassionate, professional and patient-centred care

Previous experience working in a General Practice environment is highly
desirable.
