Senior Accountant Tax & Business Services (work from home)Working closely with the Tax & Business Services Manager and Directors, you will be responsible for preparing and completing a range of taxation and business services work.
This is a hands-on accounting role suited to an experienced accountant who enjoys preparing and completing business services and taxation work and is comfortable working independently within an established team.Key responsibilitiesPreparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individualsPreparation of SMSF financial statements and income tax returnsPreparation and review of BAS and IASTax reconciliations and year-end workpapersCapital gains tax calculationsDivision 7A calculations and reconciliationsPreparation of depreciation schedules and other supporting workpapersReviewing client accounting records and identifying issues requiring adjustment or further informationLiaising with clients to obtain information and resolve routine queries where requiredWorking with Xero and Xero Practice ManagerAbout youHas solid Australian public practice experience in taxation and business servicesCan independently prepare financial statements and tax returns for business clientsHas robust knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting requirementsIs experienced with companies, trusts, individuals and preferably SMSFsIs organised and able to manage multiple jobs and deadlinesProduces accurate, well-documented work that is ready for manager reviewIs comfortable working remotely and communicating with other team membersTakes ownership of jobs and follows matters through to completionAbout usFelix & Co Accounting is a growing Australian accounting practice focused primarily on business clients.
