The Company is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and maintaining the restaurant's standards across all services.
The position is available on a full-time basis, with an immediate start.
The position involves rostered evening and weekend work.Key responsibilitiesSupport the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen and lead service in the Head Chef's absenceSupervise, train and develop the kitchen teamMaintain food quality, consistency and presentation standardsAssist with ordering, stock control and food cost managementContribute to menu development and recipe documentationMaintain food safety, allergen management, labelling and cleaning records in accordance with NSW Food Authority requirements and HACCP principlesAbout youCertificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum) or equivalent trade qualificationAt least three years' post-trade experience in a busy commercial kitchenExperience leading a kitchen section and running service without direct supervisionDemonstrated leadership, communication and organisational skillsSound time management and the ability to work effectively under pressureA thorough understanding of food safety,
