Estimator |Commercial Construction | ToowoombaMy client - a highly regarded commercial construction business, is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to its Toowoomba team as it continues to grow its project pipeline across the Darling Downs and wider Queensland market.About The OpportunityYou will be joining an established team with experienced people around you and a strong pipeline of projects across Toowoomba and the surrounding region.The position offers genuine progression, exposure to a broad range of commercial projects and the prospect to further develop your estimation skills within a supportive construction environment.Working alongside experienced construction and estimating professionals, this is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who wants exposure to a diverse range of projects while continuing to develop their technical and commercial capability.The business has an established presence in the region and delivers quality projects across a broad range of commercial construction sectors.About The RoleAs part of the estimating and pre-construction team,



you will assist with and manage tenders across a varied portfolio of projects.ResponsibilitiesReviewing tender and construction documentationQuantity take-offs and detailed measurementPreparing trade scopes and tender packagesObtaining subcontractor and supplier pricingAnalysing and levelling quotationsPreparing detailed estimates and cost plansIdentifying tender risks and opportunitiesAssisting with value management and alternative construction solutionsLiaising with subcontractors, suppliers and consultantsPreparing tender submissions and supporting documentationMaintaining estimating databases and current market pricingAssisting with tender handovers to project delivery teamsAbout YouYou will ideally bring:Experience within commercial constructionUnderstanding of construction methodology and sequencingStrong numerical and analytical skillsAbility to interpret construction drawings and specificationsExposure to subcontractor procurement and trade pricingStrong attention to detailGood communication and relationship-building skillsRelevant tertiary qualifications in construction, quantity surveying or engineering will be highly regardedMost importantly, you will have a genuine interest in estimating and want to continue developing your career within pre-construction.For someone already living in Toowoomba – or considering making the move – this offers the chance to build a serious construction career while enjoying everything the region has to offer.Note: All applications will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
