Step into a senior design role where you can stay hands-on while taking the next step into team leadership.Lead high-quality commercial interior projects from concept through to deliveryMentor and guide a talented team while remaining actively involved in designJoin an established national practice with flexibility around hours and working arrangementsThe OpportunityROUSSOS Recruitment is exclusively partnering with an established national design business to appoint a Senior Interior Designer to its Adelaide studio.Working across commercial interiors, including workplace, government and other public and private-sector environments, the Adelaide team delivers a diverse portfolio of considered, design-led projects for established clients.You will play a key role in leading projects, developing design outcomes and building robust client relationships, while also supporting the development of junior and intermediate designers within the team.The role is particularly well suited to a Senior Interior Designer who is already mentoring others and is ready to make that a more formal part of their role.You will remain hands-on across design, documentation and delivery, while taking greater ownership of team coordination, design quality and project leadership.There is also flexibility around working arrangements, including consideration of a four-day week and flexible start and finish times for the right person.The RoleYou will lead interior design projects across the full project lifecycle, working closely with clients, consultants and the broader design team.Your responsibilities will include:Leading commercial interior projects from concept through to documentation and deliveryDeveloping design concepts, space planning and design solutionsManaging client relationships, presentations,



workshops and design discussionsRemaining hands-on with design development and technical documentationCoordinating consultants, stakeholders, project programmes and deliverablesReviewing documentation and maintaining high standards of design and technical qualityMentoring and supporting junior and intermediate designersProviding day-to-day guidance and contributing to the development of the Adelaide interiors teamSupporting the Studio leadership team with design direction and project oversightContributing to the continued growth and success of the Adelaide studioThe Like MindWe are looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer who is ready to broaden their leadership responsibilities while remaining closely connected to the design process.You will ideally bring:7+ years' commercial interior design experience, with 10+ years highly regardedProven experience leading projects across concept, design development, documentation and deliveryStrong concept design, space planning and technical capabilityAdvanced Revit capability and strong design documentation skillsConfidence managing clients, consultants and project stakeholdersExperience reviewing documentation and maintaining design and technical qualityPrevious experience mentoring or supporting junior and intermediate designersA collaborative and approachable leadership styleThe confidence to take ownership, make decisions and provide direction to othersYou may already be taking on informal team leadership responsibilities, or you may be an established Senior Interior Designer ready to step into a more structured leadership role.The key is that you still want to design.
