And the standard of your work will matter.What we offerA manageable, controlled caseload, typically 10 to 25 active matters depending on complexityReal ownership of your matters and the trust to exercise professional judgementEstablished workflows and file processes that keep deadlines, evidence and next steps visibleA legal operations manager, administration and paralegal assistance to keep delivery organised and movingHybrid flexibility - Remote and Part-Time consideredNegotiable base remuneration plus performance incentives, reflecting experience and contributionThe roleYou will lead a portfolio of immigration matters from strategy through to decision, using the systems and resources around the role to keep delivery clean, accurate and consistent.Analyse complex facts, research the law and identify the right strategy for each matterPrepare accurate applications, nominations,



submissions, advice and supporting evidence that stand up to scrutinyGive clients transparent, practical advice and communicate confidently throughout their matterMaintain control of competing deadlines, evidence requirements and client expectations, identifying risks early and acting on themClient-facing consultationsOnce you are onboarded and familiar with our systems and standards, you will conduct strategy sessions / consultations with prospective clients who approach the firm.
You will identify suitable matters, scope the work and help the right clients move into fixed-fee engagements through sound legal judgement and strong communication.Performance incentives may recognise consultation and conversion outcomes once you are established in the role.About youYou hold a current Australian practising certificate and have at least 5 years of experience in Australian immigration lawYou have a proven track record of managing between 10 and 25 concurrent matters accurately and efficientlyClients trust you because you communicate clearly, set realistic expectations and follow throughYour legal analysis is careful, your written work is persuasive and your advice is practicalYou remain composed when deadlines converge, facts are complex and the consequences for clients are significantYou take ownership, exercise sound judgement and raise risks earlyYou want work that tests you, not just work that keeps you busyThe workTimpson Immigration Lawyers is one of Queensland's longest-established specialist immigration law firms.
