The reason for the hires is that the team is expanding due to winning more panel work and seeking a Senior Associate & Special Counsel to join its Melbourne office (multiple positions).
The Opportunity
This role sits within a high-performing General Insurance Team operating across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane,



with a clear need at Special Counsel and Senior Associate levels in Melbourne.
You will work across a diverse mix of defendant insurance matters, including:
Personal injury (slips & trips, public liability)
WorkCover and third-party claims
Coronial inquests
Sensitive abuse matters
Claims involving public transport, real estate agencies, childcare providers and institutional clients
The practice includes work for major insurers and institutional clients, including religious institution panels.
The Role
Manage a diverse and complex file load with autonomy
Supervise and mentor junior lawyers within the team
Contribute to client relationships and panel delivery
