Story Fresh is seeking a motivated, experienced Finance Manager to assist with the financial management of an expanding, creative family business, based just outside Toowoomba at Cambooya.
This role has responsibility for the integrity of the financial reporting functions whilst overseeing day-to-day finance activities, requiring both strong technical accounting skills and sound commercial application.
It will require the ability to manage competing priorities and achieve effective work outcomes in a growing business.The role involves:managing the accounting and finance functionspreparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reportsensuring compliance with all Australian accounting standards and legal and statutory requirementsimplement and maintain strong and effective internal controlsresponsible for financial governancefinancial forecasting, key business trends, cost analysis and KPI performanceinput into continuous improvement strategies in efficiency, productivity and profit drivers with a practical, improvement-focused approachmonitor financial performance against budget, andother administrative functions as requiredThe ideal candidate will have:preferably a Bachelor in Accounting, Finance, and/or CommerceCPA, CA or equivalent professional qualificationstrong technical accounting background ideally from a Senior Financial Accountant,



emerging Finance Manager or similar role but comfortable being hands-onvaried experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis in a commercial contextpreferably familiar with Microsoft DynamicsNAV, Quickbooks, MYOB and XERO with advanced Microsoft Excel skillscapable of providing support in accounts payable, revenue and purchasing functions and payrollexcellent communication and mentoring skillsstrong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and not cutting cornerswillingness to contribute as part of a team in a busy and dynamic family businessThis is a great opportunity to join a recognised family farming and value adding business that is growing and evolving.
