Exciting things are happening at Austin Group, and we're looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team and play an important role in supporting the continued success of the GAZMAN brand.Based at our Support Office in Malvern and reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the accounting and financial reporting for GAZMAN, from month-end and balance sheet reconciliations through to compliance and financial analysis.
Working closely with the wider Finance team and stakeholders across the brand, you'll gain great exposure to the commercial side of the business while ensuring GAZMAN's financial reporting is accurate, timely and well managed.This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accountant who enjoys being hands‐on and taking ownership of a brand, while contributing beyond day‐to‐day accounting through budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis.You will add significant value through:Managing the month-end close process, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and reconciledPreparing and maintaining accurate balance sheet reconciliationsPreparing and lodging BAS, payroll tax and workers compensation compliance requirementsSupporting the annual budgeting process and preparation of financial forecastsPosting and maintaining fortnightly payroll journals and leave provision adjustmentsSupporting the Finance Manager with tax,



accounting and financial reporting queriesPreparing quarterly retail team KPI reporting and ABS surveysMaintaining supplier records within the accounting systemProviding ad hoc commercial analysis to support business decision-makingWorking collaboratively with the broader Finance team and providing support across various projects and priorities.What we're looking for:We're looking for a proactive and highly organised Accountant who combines strong technical accounting capability with a positive, collaborative approach.
