Growing Engineering Business | Broad Finance RoleAn excellent opportunity has become available for a technically strong Finance Manager or Senior Financial Accountant ready to step up into a broader finance leadership position.Working closely with senior leadership, you will take responsibility for the integrity of the financial reporting function and oversee the day-to-day finance activities of a growing engineering business.This is a hands-on role requiring someone with strong technical accounting fundamentals who is comfortable getting into the detail, reviewing the balance sheet, ensuring month-end accuracy and maintaining robust financial controls.At the same time, you'll have the prospect to broaden your exposure across commercial finance, operations and business partnering as the organisation continues to grow.The RoleYour responsibilities will include:Take ownership of the month-end and year-end closeEnsure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledgerPrepare and review monthly financial and management accountsOwn and reviewbalance sheet reconciliationsReview journals, accruals,



prepayments and fixed assetsAnalyse P&L; and balance sheet movements and investigate variancesEnsure appropriate application of accounting standards and policiesMaintain and strengthen financial controls, policies and proceduresSupport budgeting, forecasting and cash flow managementImprove reporting processes, systems and month-end efficienciesPartner with operational stakeholders to understand business performanceProvide financial analysis and advice to senior managementSupport and mentor junior members of the finance teamThis position offers an excellent combination of technical accounting responsibility and broader commercial exposure.For an experienced Senior Financial Accountant, it represents a genuine opportunity to step into your first Finance Manager position.
