Reporting to Sales & Service Manager, the Designer is expected to create aestheticallypleasing and functional kitchen designs that align with client expectations and industrystandards.The Designer is the first formal point of contact with a potential recent client and is responsiblefor understanding client needs and preferences, visualising and creating original designconcepts as per client goals, developing detailed plans, sourcing materials and determiningcosts.
Knowledge of and compliance with building and safety regulations is critical.Demonstrated experience in a senior design role with a proven record of outstandingcustomer service is essential, so too is a strong working knowledge of sales concepts.Qualifications in interior design, or an industry related field of specialisation are preferred.The ability to think creatively about the use of space,



colour and movement and draw onother artistic mediums for creative inspiration is a fundamental aspect of this position.Planning and organisational skills are crucial; so too is the ability to influence as well asinteract and get along with others in a positive and qualified manner.Critical to this role are excellent communication skills and the ability to persuade incommunicating a design idea, so too are active listening skills and a respect for differingopinions, styles and financial situations.A strong creative flair and keen eye for detail is essential, as well as a comprehensiveunderstanding of kitchen ergonomics and the ability to effortlessly blend beauty withpracticality.Sound computer proficiencies in a diverse range of design and visualisation tools includingCabinet Vision or similar design software, and Microsoft Office is essential to this position.
