About the Company
Our client is a large regional Health Service delivering culturally appropriate and holistic healthcare across regional Queensland.
They are committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of local communities and providing accessible, culturally safe services to young people and their families.
They are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their youth-focused mental health services and contribute to improved mental health, wellbeing and life outcomes for young people aged *****.
The Role
This is a rewarding prospect for an experienced Social Worker who is passionate about working with young people and supporting those experiencing mental health, trauma, family and social challenges.
You will provide high-quality, culturally safe and trauma-informed social work services across a range of presentations, including mental health, alcohol and other drugs, trauma, family issues and social and emotional wellbeing.
The role also provides the opportunity to participate in outreach services to remote communities.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide psychosocial assessment, intervention and ongoing support to young peopleManage a clinical caseload involving young people with complex needsDevelop and implement individualised care and support plansProvide therapeutic,



strengths-based and trauma-informed interventionsUndertake risk assessments and contribute to crisis responseSupport young people experiencing trauma, family and social challengesWork collaboratively with families, carers and other support networksLiaise with internal teams and external service providersParticipate in multidisciplinary case reviews and clinical governanceMaintain high-quality clinical documentation and case notesContribute to group programs, service development and continuous improvementPromote culturally safe, trauma-informed and youth-centred practiceParticipate in occasional outreach services to remote communities
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
A Bachelor or Master of Social WorkEligibility for AASW membershipExperience working within mental health, youth, community or similar settingsStrong understanding of trauma and complex presentationsExperience with psychosocial assessment, care planning and case managementStrong communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamA genuine commitment to culturally safe, trauma-informed and youth-centred practice
