Our client is one of Australia's most respected Class 2 remedial builders, with more than 50 years of industry success and offices across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Canberra.Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join their Sydney team, based from their Homebush office.This is a senior construction role focused on the successful delivery of multiple Class 2 remedial building projects across Sydney, while providing leadership, technical support and guidance to the Project Management and construction teams.The RoleBased from the Homebush office, you'll work closely with the Director and Senior Management Team, taking responsibility for construction delivery across a portfolio of technically challenging Class 2 remedial building projects.Projects range from approximately $5M to $40M, covering a broad range of remedial and structural repair works across Sydney.You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and to a high standard, while supporting and developing the existing Project Management and site teams.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the delivery of multiple Class 2 remedial building projects across Sydney, from commencement through to completionLead, manage and support Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and site teamsTake overall responsibility for project performance, budgets, programs, quality and safetyMonitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve construction, site and project issues to keep projects on trackManage and review variations, EOTs, subcontractors, procurement and commercial outcomesMonitor project financial performance, forecasting, costs, margins and profitabilityProvide technical and operational support across concrete remediation, concrete spalling/concrete cancer, waterproofing, façade upgrades, balcony remediation, structural repairs and strengtheningWork closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to the required quality standardsMaintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants,



strata managers, subcontractors, suppliers and other key stakeholdersAssist with project planning, resource allocation, procurement and construction methodologyReview project programs and ensure key milestones and contractual requirements are achievedSupport the Project Management team with commercial, contractual and construction‐related mattersWork closely with the Director and Senior Management Team on operational, commercial and project delivery mattersIdentify opportunities to improve project delivery, efficiency, quality and profitabilityEnsure all projects comply with WHS requirements, NSW legislation, Australian Standards and company proceduresProvide leadership, mentoring and support to Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and construction personnelHold and maintain a NSW Builders Licence / Qualified Supervisor Certificate, providing additional licence capability and support to the Director when required.
The Director will remain the company's nominated supervisor and Builders Licence holder.

It is not expected to be utilised as the primary function of the role.This position would suit an experienced Senior Project Manager within the Class 2 remedial building industry who is ready to take the next step into a Construction Manager position, provided they have the required NSW Builders Licence / Qualified Supervisor Certificate.Class 2 Remedial Building experience and a NSW Builders Licence (Qualified Supervisor Certificate) are both essential requirements for this role.
