Catholic Education Queensland Limited – Brisbane QLDAs an Education Officer, you will research, monitor and provide timely strategic information and advice on Commonwealth and State educational issues to the Board and Catholic School Authorities.
You will represent CEQL effectively through formation of strategic partnerships, collaboration, advocacy, liaison and negotiation as required with agencies such as Australian and State Government Departments of Education and Training, State Schools, and Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ) and other relevant education bodies.Key responsibilitiesResearch, monitor and provide timely strategic information and advice on Commonwealth and State educational issues to the Board and Catholic School AuthoritiesRepresent CEQL effectively through formation of strategic partnerships, collaboration, advocacy, liaison and negotiation with agencies such as Australian and State Government Departments of Education and Training, State Schools, and Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ) and other relevant education bodiesProvide effective leadership and support for CEQL Consultation GroupsManage identified education programs and initiatives in an appropriate mannerAbout youSupport for the vision, mission and values of CEQLDemonstrated knowledge of strategic and operational education issues and priorities,



including national and state educational trendsDemonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills including experience in preparing reports, submissions and issues papersDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and ability to provide quality quick turn-around advice on key education issuesHigh level government program and project management skills including capacity to prioritise, manage and meet deadlinesAppropriate qualifications at tertiary levelCommitment to participate in and contribute to building a positive and collaborative staff cultureExperience with, or strong knowledge of, Vocational Education and Training, school-based apprenticeships and traineesships, and/or senior secondary years of schooling would be an advantageAbout usCatholic Education Queensland Limited (CEQL) is the peak body supporting Queensland's Catholic education sector.
