Fleet Controller - Perth Full Time | Monday-Friday | ForrestfieldAn established national transport and logistics business is seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to join its Perth operation.
Working within a busy road transport setting, you'll take ownership of daily fleet movements, driver allocation and real-time operational coordination, ensuring freight is delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.This is a hands-on position suited to someone who understands the realities of transport operations and can balance fleet utilisation, customer requirements, driver compliance and changing daily priorities.
You'll work closely with drivers, customers and internal operational teams, responding quickly to issues while keeping the fleet moving.The RoleCoordinating daily fleet scheduling, dispatch and driver allocationMonitoring freight movements and ensuring service commitments are achievedMaximising fleet utilisation and route efficiencyManaging changing priorities, delays and operational issues in real timeLiaising with drivers, customers and internal operational teamsMonitoring vehicle availability, maintenance requirements and schedulingEnsuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility,
fatigue and transport regulationsMaintaining accurate operational records and reportingIdentifying opportunities to improve fleet performance and operational processesSupporting a strong safety and compliance culture across the operationAbout YouWe are looking for someone with previous experience in fleet control, transport allocation, scheduling or logistics coordination within a fast-paced transport environment.You will ideally bringStrong understanding of road transport and fleet operationsExperience coordinating drivers and vehicle movementsKnowledge of CoR, fatigue management and transport complianceStrong planning, organisation and problem-solving skillsAbility to make quick decisions when operational priorities changeConfident communication with drivers, customers and internal stakeholdersExperience with fleet/transport management systems and Microsoft OfficeGood understanding of vehicle availability and maintenance requirementsA proactive, practical approach to improving operational efficiencyThis is an opportunity to join a large, established transport operation offering long-term stability and development opportunities within a national logistics environment.
