meals and PPE suppliedCompetitive salary packageLong-term project with established workshop facilitiesSalary sacrifice optionsJoin a respected contractor with a robust safety culture and commitment to career developmentThe OpportunityReporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities across a large fleet of heavy mining equipment, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements.Your responsibilities will include:Planning and scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance activities for heavy mining equipmentDeveloping accurate weekly maintenance schedules that align with operational priorities and available resourcesManaging day-to-day and long-term maintenance planning to meet production and maintenance objectivesEnsuring compliance with MacKellar's CMMS/ERP work management processesMonitoring planned maintenance performance and ensuring work is completed within agreed timeframes and budgetsWorking closely with supervisors, tradespeople and operations to maximise equipment availability and reliabilityAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you'll bring:A Mechanical Trade qualification or a degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant post-trade mining experiencePrevious experience in a Maintenance Planner or similar maintenance planning role within mining or heavy industryStrong understanding of maintenance planning principles and heavy mobile equipmentExperience using CMMS/ERP maintenance management systemsWell-developed Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and OutlookA current Queensland Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)Current Queensland Driver LicenceAt MacKellar, we value safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
