About the RoleOur client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking an experienced IT Automation Specialist to support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical automated and computerised systems within a GMP-regulated environment.
Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and IT teams, you will play a key role in ensuring operational systems remain reliable, secure, compliant, and fit for purpose.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the lifecycle management of automated and computerised systems across manufacturing operationsImplement, configure, maintain, and enhance manufacturing and operational technology systemsSupport system upgrades, integrations, migrations, and technology improvement projectsDevelop and maintain technical and compliance-related documentationAssist with system testing, troubleshooting, investigations, and issue resolutionSupport data integrity, cybersecurity, and compliance initiativesPartner with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and IT stakeholders to deliver system improvementsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on system performance, reliability, and efficiencyEnsure activities are performed in accordance with GMP, company policies, and health and safety requirementsSkills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering,



Automation, Computer Science, or a related scientific discipline3-5+ years' experience in an IT, Automation, Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, or Operational Technology roleExperience working within a regulated setting such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, or other compliance-driven industriesHands-on experience supporting or implementing manufacturing, automation, or computerised systemsExperience with systems such as MES, SCADA, PLC, Historian, LIMS, ERP, or similar platforms is highly desirableExperience delivering system upgrades, implementations, integrations, or technology projectsExposure to system validation, lifecycle documentation, testing, or data integrity activities will be highly regardedKnowledge of GMP environments, GAMP 5, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, or PIC/S requirements will be viewed favourablyStrong technical troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skillsAdditional InformationSuccessful candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
