We self-perform the technical end of civil construction — formwork, reinforcement and structural concrete on bridges, dams and water infrastructure — and we're known for turning up with the right people and the right paperwork.Our Canberra workload is growing off the back of bridge renewal works, and we're looking for a Site Engineer to take ownership of delivery on the ground.The roleFull QA management: ITPs, hold and witness points, lot documentation, conformance records, NCR close-out and final handover packsAttend site walks, inspections and progress meetings with clients and head contractors, and represent Kilcomer's position on technical mattersMaintain and update the construction program, tracking actual progress against milestones and flagging slippage earlyOrder and coordinate site materials, plant and consumables to suit the programSupport the site team on setout, reinforcement checks, pour preparation and daily deliveryReview drawings and specifications, raise RFIs,



and manage technical queries through to resolutionContribute to site safety and environmental compliance alongside the supervision teamAbout youMinimum 2 years' experience as a Site Engineer on structural concrete projects in AustraliaTertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent site-based experienceSolid grounding in QA systems and ITP-driven deliveryConfident reading structural drawings and specificationsStrong written communication — a significant part of this role is documentationWhite Card and current driver's licence, comfortable working on active civil sitesAbility to obtain relevant ACT site inductions and site access clearancesHighly regardedDam, spillway or water infrastructure worksReinforcement management — scheduling, ordering, fixing supervision and conformanceExperience working as a subcontractor to tier-1 or tier-2 head contractorsCan do attitude, Team player and a person who always wants to learn moreWhat we offerRelocation support — we'll negotiate a package that suits your circumstances, either a contribution toward moving and setup costs or employer-funded accommodation with a living-away-from-home allowance covering rent plus a weekly food and incidentals componentVisa sponsorship and ACT regional nomination support where requiredGenuine exposure to major infrastructure delivery, working directly with tier-1 buildersA transparent path into senior site and project engineering roles as the ACT business growsA small, direct team where your work is visible and your input countsKilcomer Group is an equal opportunity employer.
