This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate spatial and asset information, supporting asset management planning, and delivering high-quality mapping and analytical services across the organisation.The GIS & Assets Officer will be responsible for:Managing and improving Council's GIS systems, capabilities and servicesProviding GIS and associated technology support services to Council departmentsEnsuring the accuracy and currency of Council's GIS and Asset dataProviding mapping products,



spatial datasets and data analyses to both internal and external stakeholdersDeveloping and maintaining GIS infrastructure and web applicationsAdding recent assets into Council's asset management systemPreparing data extracts, reports, and dashboards to support business needsThe ideal candidate will have:Relevant tertiary qualifications in a spatial information related discipline, or relevant experience in the implementation of a corporate GIS service.Extensive experience using GIS software such as ArcGIS Enterprise and QGIS, and other related technologies such as FMEExperience using asset management software such as Confirm, Maximo or similarExperience maintaining asset databases and spatial datasetsStrong attention to detailFor further information about this position, please contact Kelly Kong, Coordinator - GIS and Assets on *********.
