Starting from $120,000 + Super + Company UteBaseup Sheds is looking for an experienced supervisor to step into a hands‐on supervisory role across our concrete preparation, earthworks operations and leading into a site Forman role for our bigger projects.This role would suit someone who knows concreting, understands earthworks and levels, sheds and various shed construction techniques, can lead a crew, and is confident taking responsibility for getting jobs properly prepared and completed.The RoleYou will work a few days ahead of the concrete pouring crew, taking control of upcoming jobs once they have been scheduled.Your job is to make sure the earthworks and slab preparation happen properly, the crew knows what they are doing, and each slab is ready when the concrete arrives.Your responsibilities will include:Directing our earthmoving operator on siteSetting out and marking out shed slabsChecking excavation depths, levels and site preparationSupervising boxing, formwork and reinforcementChecking slab dimensions, levels, penetrations and preparation against plansMaking sure materials are ready for upcoming jobsLooking 2–3 days ahead and identifying anything that could hold a job upTraining and developing less-experienced concretersSolving problems on site and keeping jobs movingAssisting with concrete pours and finishing when required, particularly on larger poursYou will not be expected to spend your days operating excavators or skid steers.
We already have a dedicated earthmoving operator.You will also not be responsible for creating the overall construction schedule.
Jobs will already be scheduled ahead of you.Your responsibility is to take the upcoming work and make sure it is completed properly and ready for the pour.What We're Looking ForIdeally you will have:Experience with boxing, reinforcement,



pouring and finishingGood understanding of excavation, levels and site preparationAbility to read plans and accurately set out slabsExperience leading concreters or construction workersConfidence giving direction and holding a crew accountableStrong attention to detail and quality controlGood communication and organisationAbility to think ahead and solve problemsExperience with shed slabs, large residential slabs, commercial slabs or similar work would be highly regarded.This is not a position for someone who wants to stand back and simply supervise.You will be responsible for leading the preparation side of the operation, but you must still be capable and willing to jump on the tools when required.On concrete pour days, our existing concrete supervisor will lead the pouring and finishing crew.
