Civil Construction Supervisor - Metalliferous Mining ProjectRMS Engineering and Construction – Townsville QLDCivil Construction Supervisor – Metalliferous Mining ProjectRMS Engineering & Construction is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Supervisor to join our team on our one of our Metalliferous Mining Projects in North Queensland.This is a hands‐on supervisory role suited to someone who has worked in civil construction within a mining environment and understands what it takes to lead crews safely, efficiently and to a high standard on a live mining operation.The OpportunityWorking as part of the project delivery team, you will be responsible for supervising day‐to‐day civil construction activities across the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, productively and in accordance with project requirements.The role will suit an experienced Leading Supervisor / Civil Supervisor who is ready to take ownership of site operations and lead a team in a mining infrastructure environment.About the RoleYour responsibilities will include:Supervising civil construction crews and subcontractors across the projectCoordinating daily site activities, plant, labour and resourcesEnsuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specificationsProviding robust leadership and direction to the site teamWorking closely with the Project Manager and site management team to achieve project milestonesMonitoring productivity, quality and progress of worksParticipating in pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site inspectionsIdentifying and addressing construction issues as they ariseMaintaining a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance and qualitySupporting project planning, coordination and reporting requirementsAbout YouWe are looking for someone who brings genuine civil construction and mining infrastructure experience,



along with the ability to lead a site team and take ownership of day‐to‐day delivery.To be successful, you will have:Demonstrated experience as a Civil Construction Supervisor & or Leading SupervisorStrong background in civil construction within the mining industryExperience working on mining infrastructure projectsProven ability to lead and coordinate construction crewsStrong understanding of civil construction methodology, plant and productivityAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications and project documentationStrong commitment to safety, quality and environmental requirementsExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to work effectively with project management, client representatives and the wider site teamCurrent driver's licenceAbility to successfully complete all required site inductions and medical requirementsTailings Experience – Highly RegardedExperience working on tailings storage facility (TSF) construction, lifts or expansions will be highly regarded.In particular, experience with civil works associated with TSF lifts, embankment construction, raise/expansion works, drainage or associated mining infrastructure will be viewed favourably.Roster & LocationProject Location – North QueenslandRostered site‐based positionDIDO only – applicants must be based within the North Queensland regionFIFO is not available for this positionThis is an opportunity to join a growing North Queensland civil construction business and play a key supervisory role on a significant mining infrastructure project.Why Join RMS?
