Capital Hotel Group is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our dining operations in Canberra, ACT.
This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of our restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery and profitability.
As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences whilst maintaining high operational standards and driving business growth.
This role is pivotal in establishing our restaurant as a destination for quality dining within Canberra.Key responsibilitiesOversee daily restaurant operations including service delivery, table management, and customer satisfactionLead, train, supervise and motivate restaurant and front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service standardsManage budgets, costs, pricing and profitability targets for the restaurant operationMaintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and health and safety compliancePlan and implement marketing initiatives to drive customer loyalty and increase revenueManage inventory, ordering and supplier relationships to optimise costsHandle customer feedback, complaints and concerns with professionalism and resolutionDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures and quality control measuresCollaborate with kitchen management to ensure menu standards and consistencyMonitor financial performance through point-of-sale systems and reportingWhat we're looking for2+ years of restaurant or hospitality management experience in a similar venue size or largerProven track record of successful team leadership and staff developmentStrong financial acumen with experience in budget management and P&L; responsibilityExcellent customer service skills with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiencesKnowledge of food safety standards, licensing requirements and health and safety regulationsProficiency with point-of-sale systems and restaurant management softwareStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure during service periods and manage multiple prioritiesProblem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to operational challengesCurrent hospitality qualifications or certifications (preferred)Experience in venue or function management would be advantageousWhat we offerAt Capital Hotel Group, we are committed to creating a positive workplace culture where our team members can thrive.
