Design & Build Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and growing engineering and building design consultancy to recruit a Approvals & Permits Officer to join their Sydney team.Working alongside a team of experienced engineers, building consultants, planners and designers, you will play an important role in ensuring projects progress smoothly through the planning and approvals process.The Role:As the Approvals & Permits Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating planning, approval and permit processes across a variety of building and construction projects.Preparing and lodging Development Applications and managing them throughout the approval processPreparing documentation to support planning applications, including Statements of Environmental Effects and Waste Management PlansCoordinating the information and reports required for submissionsWorking closely with a range of consultants, architects and civil engineers & surveyors.Acting as a key link between building designers,



engineers and external consultants throughout the design and approvals processFollowing up on outstanding information and ensuring applications continue to progress within required timeframesReviewing documentation carefully to ensure submissions are accurate, complete and ready for lodgmentsAbout You:Previous experience coordinating DA applications and the planning approvals processStrong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficientlyExcellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesConfidence working autonomously and taking ownership of your workloadThe ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deadlines at onceStrong written and verbal communication skillsWhat's On Offer?
