Fyfe is seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineer in our Infrastructure Team based in Melbourne to provide concept design through to detailed design, procurement support, construction assistance and commissioning support.
If you enjoy solving technical challenges and want to shape reliable power solutions for some of the market's most complex projects, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.Key responsibilitiesPrepare and check electrical and control system deliverables including single line diagrams, network architecture drawings, I/O schedules, cable schedules, loop drawings, termination drawings, panel layouts, datasheets and bills of materialSupport LV design activities including cable sizing, cable containment sizing, reticulation diagrams, generator sizing and electrical load inputsUse engineering design tools such as Elecdes where required to produce consistent drawings and schedulesPrepare clear technical inputs for design reports, specifications and design review packsDevelop instrumentation and control design packages for water, wastewater, mining and industrial facilitiesCoordinate controls requirements with process, mechanical and operations stakeholdersSupport or prepare engineering studies such as arc flash, EMI and EMF assessments where assignedContribute to Safety in Design reviews, HAZOP, CHAZOP,



constructability reviews and close-out of discipline actionsIdentify design risks early and communicate clear mitigation actionsDeliver assigned work packages to agreed scope, schedule and budgetAbout youProven experience in Medium Voltage/Low Voltage electrical designStrong working knowledge of Australian StandardsDemonstrated experience in I&C; designConfidence contributing across all project phases, from concept and schematic design through to detailed deliveryExperience in working on complex infrastructure projects is highly regardedCollaborative approach and clear communication style when working with engineers, clients and consultantsAbout usFyfe is a leading Australian integrated engineering, environment, planning, and survey firm with 700+ staff across Australia.
