180K - $200K package | Complex Property & Private Groups | Pathway to DirectorAn established North Sydney chartered accounting firm is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join its growing Business Services & Tax team.Operating for more than 30 years, the firm has three Directors and a team of around 20, advising a sophisticated client base ranging from privately owned SMEs through to groups with turnover exceeding $250 million.The firm has particular strength across property, property funds, construction and development, creating an prospect to work on more complex tax and advisory matters than you would typically find in a boutique practice, while maintaining direct access to the Directors.This is a newly created position, driven by continued growth and the need to create additional capacity at Senior Manager and Director level.The OpportunityYou will gradually take ownership of a portfolio of approximately $800K in fees, with relationships transitioned across from the existing Senior Managers and Directors.Your clients will include property groups, investors, developers and established private businesses across a range of industries.Your responsibilities will include:Managing client relationships across compliance, tax planning and advisoryAdvising private groups on tax structuring and planning, Division 7A, trust distributions, CGT and small business CGT concessionsProviding advice on restructures, succession planning and complex private group mattersHandling property-related tax issues,



including GST and the margin scheme for property developmentWorking with property funds across MIT and AMIT tax regimes and investor tax reportingReviewing complex tax and financial work and ensuring a high standard of technical deliveryLeading and developing staff from the firm's shared resource poolWorking closely with the Directors on complex client matters and broader advisory projectsFor someone with the ambition and capability to progress further, there is a genuine pathway to Director.About YouYou'll ideally be an experienced Manager or Senior Manager looking for greater client ownership, more sophisticated work and a clearer progression opportunity.You will bring:CA/CPA qualification – essentialStrong Business Services & Tax experience within an Australian public practice firmExperience managing a substantial portfolio of private clientsStrong Australian tax technical knowledgeConfidence reviewing complex work and providing advice directly to clientsExperience developing and mentoring accountantsExposure to property, property funds, construction or development will be highly regardedWhat's On OfferPackage circa $180K - $200KWFH every MondayFlexible core hours of 9:30am-4:30pmMonthly catered team lunchesEnd-of-year and Melbourne Cup eventsEstablished firm with more than 30 years in the marketThis role would suit a Senior Manager who enjoys the technical complexity and quality of clients found in larger firms, but wants the autonomy, Director access and progression opportunities of a smaller practice.
