We're looking for a Collections Officer who knows how to keep accounts on track.TVH is looking for an experienced Collections Officer to join our Finance team in Melbourne.Working as part of a small, cooperative team, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts.
This is a hands‐on role where accuracy matters — from allocating payments and reconciling accounts to following up overdue debt and resolving invoice queries.You'll be trusted to manage your workload independently, while working closely with the team to deliver accurate and timely outcomes.What you'll be doingFollowing up outstanding and overdue accounts by phone and emailBuilding professional relationships with customer Accounts Payable teamsAllocating customer payments, receipts and credits accuratelyReconciling customer accounts and investigating discrepanciesResolving invoice and payment queriesPreparing and issuing customer statementsMaintaining accurate and up‐to‐date customer recordsMonitoring debtor balances and escalating risks when requiredWorking with internal teams to resolve issues and keep accounts movingUsing Excel to manage,



analyse and reconcile financial informationIdentifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of workingWhat you'll bringWe're looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the detail and following things through.3+ years' experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections or Credit ControlStrong Excel Capability — you'll be comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial data, not just basic data entryStrong numerical capability and high attention to detailConfidence to pick up the phone and have professional conversations about outstanding paymentsExperience reconciling accounts and investigating discrepanciesStrong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesClear, professional written and verbal communicationA proactive approach — you won't wait for an overdue account or discrepancy to resolve itselfA collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute within a small team environmentAbout TVHTVH is an Australian‐owned national business delivering technical services across HVAC‐R, HVAC Hygiene, Fire, Electrical, Hydraulic and associated services.
