Reporting into the Engineering Team, you will support the planning, design, analysis and implementation of engineering projects.
The role offers broad exposure across mechanical engineering, including research, development, design and testing, giving you the chance to deepen your technical expertise and gain valuable experience in a fast-growing clean-tech environment.Key responsibilitiesAssist in the design, development and implementation of mechanical components and systemsSupport the preparation of technical reports, design documentation and project proposalsConduct research and analysis to improve product performance and efficiencyAssist with prototype development, testing and validation of engineering solutionsReview and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, stress analysis and engineering specificationsPrepare and review Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)



documentationCollaborate with the engineering team to develop innovative solutions to technical challengesSupport compliance with Australian Design Rules (ADR) and other regulatory requirementsAbout youBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or in your final year of study)3+ years' engineering experience, ideally in automotive, rail, aerospace or heavy transport productsSolid understanding of mechanical systems, materials and design principlesProficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Solid Edge or similar), with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience gained through study or industryStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to write clear technical reports and documentationExcellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and competency with MS OfficeStrong verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative approachA willingness to learn and adapt to current challengesA valid driver's licence is preferred but not essential
