Our hands-on attitude prioritises safety, efficiency, and timely project completion, ensuring continual growth with our clients and as a business.Western Precast is in need of a highly experienced carpenter whose main responsibility would be as follows:Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand and all material and construction requirementsDetermine all materials needed for each jobTake measurements and calculate the size and amount of material neededCut and shape building materials (e.g., fiberglass and steel) according to measurementsBuild window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed itemsLay out floorings,



roofing or drywalls ensuring they are levelled and compatibleInspect places and conduct repairs or maintenanceBuild scaffolding and other construction structuresAssemble and fasten various materials to erect frameworkInstall structures and fixturesThe successful candidate will have:At least 2 years previous experience as a carpenterCertificate III in CarpentryMust have a Construction Induction Card (White Card)Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and constructionExceptional technical knowledge of carpentry work, general property maintenance and repairs issuesAbility to read technical documents and drawingsMust be able to work as part of a team as well as independentlyBroad carpentry skillset including civil works, form and concrete, steel frame welding, trusses, roofing, fencing and fit-offWestern Precast is an equal prospect employer.
