You'll analyse financials, apply credit policy, and work closely with sales, broker partners, ops, and credit to help move good deals fast - and stop bad ones faster.
This is a hands‐on role where accuracy, commercial instinct, and pace are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite deals from $25K to $1.5M, with decisioning authority aligned to experienceAnalyse financials, bank data,



and open banking feeds to assess creditworthinessApply credit risk policies accurately and flag sensible exceptions for reviewSupport offer structuring that balances speed, risk, and commercial valueWork closely with sales and our broker partners to support fast decisions and clean executionEscalate edge cases and complex scenarios to senior underwriters or credit leadershipMaintain accurate underwriting documentation and CRM recordsContribute insight and feedback to help refine credit policy over timeWhat We're Looking For2+ years' credit assessment or underwriting experience in SME or commercial lendingExperience in unsecured, short-term SME underwritingConfident analysing bank statements, open banking data and financials to assess serviceability and cash flowWorking knowledge of ATO, ASIC, PPSR and credit bureau (Equifax/illion) checksHighly organised - nothing gets missed, nothing gets droppedThrives on pace and volume without sacrificing accuracyClear, commercial communicator with sales and broker partnersBonusRevenue-based finance or merchant cash advance experience (fintech/non-bank)Broker-originated deal flow experienceExperience identifying fraud, doctored statements or loan stackingHeld a delegated credit authorityOur OfferSalary range: $110,000 - $130,000 AUD + super
