Solid Xero experience is essential.About the RoleWorking as part of a professional and collaborative accounting team, you'll be responsible for managing a range of accounting and bookkeeping requirements across a portfolio of clients, including:Managing day‐to‐day accounts and bookkeeping for a portfolio of clientsMaintaining accurate financial records and accounting systemsCompleting bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliationsProcessing accounts payable and accounts receivablePreparing and processing payroll,



including STP and superannuationAssisting with BAS and IAS preparationPreparing and maintaining journals and financial dataSupporting month‐end processes and reportingReviewing transactions and investigating discrepanciesLiaising directly with clients regarding accounting and financial mattersAssisting accountants with broader client accounting requirementsMaintaining accurate and up‐to‐date client recordsProviding general accounts support and assisting with ad hoc tasks as requiredYou'll have the opportunity to work across a varied client base, making this a role that offers plenty of variety and the chance to build on your accounting experience.About YouYou'll have previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role and be confident managing accounting requirements with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ideally, you'll have experience within an accounting or professional services environment and enjoy working closely with both clients and internal stakeholders.You will ideally bring:Demonstrated experience using Xero - essentialPrevious experience in an Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper or similar roleStrong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principlesExperience across accounts payable and accounts receivableStrong reconciliation skills and excellent attention to detailExperience processing payroll, including STP and superannuationExposure to BAS and IAS preparationPrevious experience within an accounting or professional services environmentExcellent organisation and time management skillsStrong communication and client liaison skillsThe ability to work autonomously and manage competing prioritiesA proactive, practical and solutions‐focused approachExperience with MYOB, QuickBooks or other accounting platforms will be advantageousWhy Join?
