Today, the Shire has a significant farming-based industry that contributes nationally.About the positionNarromine Shire Council are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced applicant for the position of Water Cart Operator.The objective of this position is to effectively and safely operate Council's water truck to transport water throughout the shire for the use of other teams within Council.To safely and competently operate Council plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturers specifications and Council Procedures.To promote and maintain a positive image of Council to the community.To be successful in this position you will need to have:Good understanding of plant operation and their capabilitiesProficient written and verbal communication skillsBasic computer skillsGeneral Construction Induction (White) CardIt will be desirable for you to have:MC Drivers LicenceWorkzone Traffic Control -Traffic ControllerWorkzone Traffic Control – Implement Traffic Control Guidance PlanLevel I Chainsaw Operators certificate of competencyBackhoe and other plant competenciesExperience in heavy haulageThe details relating to this position are:The position is graded 8 within Council's salary structureThe salary range is from $67,360 - $76,189 per annum plus superannuation.




The salary step is determined by an annual competency assessment.38 hour working week applies.
