Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.About the roleWe are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our Crossmuller Manufacturing team based at our Somersby, NSW facility.Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be working on state of the art equipment and will be responsible for:Assisting in the design, assembly and installation of recent and modified mechanical equipment and plant such as machine tools, components, controls and hydraulic power systemsPerforming fault finding, field and laboratory tests and carry out complex computations and repairs on mechanical equipment including,



hydraulic and pneumatic systems and mobile plantPerforming mechanical installation works in accordance to Site and Australian standards where requiredOrganising and overseeing inspection and maintenance of machine and plants to provide reports to management on estimated material costs associated with machine maintenance requirementsPerforming Preventative Maintenance Tasks as directed by Mechanical CoordinatorsAs we continue to grow our operations, this role is also involved with equipment upgrades, installation of new machinery and decommissioning of old machinery.This is a full-time position.
Salary for this position will be not less than $79,499 per annum.About youTo be considered for this position you will have:Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent experienceExtensive experience in machine trouble shooting, problem solving and fault findingExperience in pneumatic and hydraulic equipmentAbility to read and interpret drawings/blueprintsHave excellent written and verbal communication skillsCondition monitoring techniquesLeadership & supervisory experienceHave worked in a continuous manufacturing environmentProject managementTroubleshooting and problem solvingAs part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which may include functional, audiometric, drug and alcohol testing.Crossmuller is an Equal Chance Employer.
