Every day will be different, and every day will matter.About the RoleAs a Youth Worker, you'll support young people through meaningful relationships, positive role modelling and engaging activities designed to build confidence, independence and resilience.You will:Build trusting relationships and provide a safe, supportive environmentSupport young people to achieve their goals and develop life skillsDeliver engaging activities, mentoring opportunities and community experiencesApply trauma-informed practices and positive behaviour support strategiesWork collaboratively with colleagues, families and external servicesCelebrate progress, encourage success and help young people thriveWho We're Looking ForWe're seeking individuals who are:Compassionate, resilient and emotionally intelligentFlexible, adaptable and solutions-focusedConfident working within professional boundariesAble to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situationsPassionate about supporting vulnerable young peopleExperience working with young people, disabilities, trauma, mental health or other vulnerable groups is highly regarded.
Candidates with transferable skills from community services, education, disability support, residential care,



healthcare or similar sectors are strongly encouraged to apply.Essential RequirementsCertificate III, IV or Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, or willingness to obtainUnderstanding of trauma-informed care and behaviour support approachesStrong communication and report writing skillsCurrent NSW Driver Licence and comprehensively insured vehicleCurrent Working With Children CheckCurrent First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)Roster & Employment OptionsOur service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You'll participate in a rotating roster that includes:Morning, afternoon and night shiftsSleepovers (up to 3 per fortnight)Every second weekendTo provide consistency and stability for the young people in our care, your roster will repeat on a fortnightly cycle.We offer:Permanent Part-Time positions(minimum 60 hours per fortnight with option for additional shifts)Casual opportunitiesfor those seeking flexibilityWhat's In It For You?
