What we are looking for
We're seeking a practical and capable Pack ShedSupervisor to support the coordination and supervision of daily blueberrypacking operations at our Walkamin Pack Shed.
This role will provide day-to-day leadership and directionto pack shed employees while supporting secure, efficient and high-qualitypacking operations.
You'll help coordinate pack line activities,labourrequirements,stock availability, equipment readiness, food safety and qualitystandards.
This role would suit someone with previous experienceleading teams within a pack shed, horticultural, food manufacturing orproduction environment.
You'll be organised, comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and able to balance changing fruit volumes,workforcerequirementsand operational priorities.
Flexibility to work varying hours during peak productionperiods will be required.
The role involves working within production, packingand cold storage environments.
What you'lldo
Support the coordination of daily pack shedoperations to maximise fruit quality,



productivity and yield
Supervise pack line activities and employees toachieve production, quality and efficiency targets
Coordinate labour and workflow across designatedpacking operations
Monitor packing performance, productivity, wastageand labour allocation
Provide day-to-day direction, coaching and supportto pack shed employees
Assist with onboarding, training and development ofemployees
Monitor fruit quality and ensure packing activitiesmeet food safety, quality and customer requirements
Communicate with Harvest and Quality Assuranceteams regarding fruit quality and operational priorities
Monitor packaging stock levels andidentifyreplenishmentrequirementsSupportequipment servicing andmaintenanceactivitiesin collaboration with technical support teams
Identify and escalation safety, quality,maintenance,staffingand operational concerns
Contribute to continuous improvement across packshed processes and performance
What you'llbring
Previous experience leading or supervising teams
Strong communication, organisational andproblem-solving skills
The ability to provide clear direction, coachingand support to employees
Experience within a pack shed, horticultural, foodmanufacturing or production environment is desirable
A strong focus on productivity, efficiency andachieving operational targets
High attention to detail and a commitment toproduct quality
The ability to work within food safety, qualityassurance and workplace health and safety requirements
Confidence building positive workingrelationshipsacrossoperational teams
Competence using Microsoft Office
Experience using SAP or automated production systems will behighly regarded.
A forklift licence, First Aid Certificate or relevant trainingin food safety, workplace health and safety or people leadership would also beadvantageous.
