Welder / Fabricator – Steel ManufacturingBird Dog Fabrications is an Australian steel manufacturing business based in Carrum Downs, specialising in the manufacture of steel screw piles and associated components for the construction industry.We manufacture products used across residential, commercial and civil construction projects throughout Victoria.Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our manufacturing team.This is a full-time, factory-based role, Monday to Friday, afternoon shift, offering stable and ongoing employment in a well-equipped manufacturing facility.The RoleYour primary role will be welding and fabrication; however, as part of our manufacturing team, you may also be involved in operating and assisting with other machinery and production processes within the factory.Your responsibilities may include:MIG welding steel screw piles and associated componentsWelding helices and fabricated steel componentsPreparing, positioning and fitting components for weldingReading and working from drawings, measurements and production specificationsChecking completed work for quality and accuracyOperating or assisting with CNC laser cutting equipmentOperating hydraulic presses and forming equipmentOperating saws, grinders, drills and other workshop machineryMaterial handling and movement of steel productsGeneral fabrication and manufacturing dutiesWorking efficiently to meet production requirementsCarrying out basic equipment checks and housekeepingMaintaining a clean, organised and safe work areaFollowing company quality, safety and environmental proceduresTraining can be provided on specific machinery and manufacturing processes where required.What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who:Has previous MIG welding and/or steel fabrication experienceCan produce consistent, high-quality weldsIs comfortable working with structural and heavy steel componentsHas experience with,
