They are looking for a Senior Heavy vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join their team in Stapylton.What You Will Be DoingCarry out major and complex vehicle repairs and maintenanceDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faultsInspect vehicles and identify repair requirementsCoordinate repairs with the Parts Team and Leading HandComplete detailed inspections and accurate job reportsEnsure repairs meet company, safety and NHVR standardsMonitor workshop productivity, quality and turnaround timesIdentify recurring faults and reduce reworkProvide technical guidance and mentoring to apprentices and junior techniciansAssist with training and onboarding of new team membersLiaise with customers,



site supervisors and suppliers when requiredResearch technical information to support complex repairsManage allocated repair timeframes and workshop prioritiesFollow all company servicing, safety and operational proceduresPay Rates:Casual: $*****-$***** per hour + super, depending on experiencePermanent: $*****-$***** per hour + super, depending on experienceWhat You Will NeedMechanical Trade Qualification - Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalentCurrent Trade Licence - requiredCurrent valid Driver's Licence - requiredWelding, fabrication, hot work and confined space qualifications or experience - idealWorking knowledge of WHS Practices and RegulationsProven tenure as a qualified tradespersonSubstantial relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of various heavy vehicle or machinery together with the ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical faultsUnderstanding of leadership, training, and mentoring practicesWhat's In It For You?
