As proud owners of a diverse range of venues including Cloudland, Empire Hotel, Valley Hops Rooftop & Brewery, The Warehouse and The Island Hotel, we require a dynamic and diverse team to facilitate the needs of our guests.Our unique and stunning venues host a wide range of events, from intimate social gatherings to large-scale gala dinners, conferences and weddings.The key responsibility of this role is to identify, contract and convert sales leads while coordinating event bookings across all industry markets.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with email, phone and walk-in enquiries for private function bookingsFollow up outstanding function sales enquiries in a timely mannerCoordinate events and prepare detailed run sheetsLiaise with Accounts regarding deposits and final paymentsConduct site inspections and famil visits when requiredAssist with hosting client functions and networking events when requiredMaintain and update the function sales database,



including client contact details and menu upgradesAssist in the preparation of reports relevant to the development of function salesIdentify and pursue new client opportunities strategicallyAttend relevant conferences and trade showsPrevious experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in meetings and eventsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher and PowerPointStrong communication and negotiation skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesFlexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when requiredExperience with event management software is highly desirableA positive 'can-do' attitude with the ability to work collaboratively within a teamHighly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitaskRecent experience within the events and/or tourism industryA vibrant personality, professional presentation and strong client focusProven ability to achieve established sales targetsSelf-motivated, results-driven and able to work autonomously in an office environmentAbove all, the successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who can respond quickly to opportunities while driving recent business and maintaining strong client relationships.We are an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from people of diverse backgrounds.
