Reporting to the Head of Fleet and maintenance, you will lead a team of Heavy Diesel Mechanics, coordinate maintenance activities and help ensure our fleet remains secure, compliant.What You Will Enjoy DoingSupervise and coordinate daily workshop operations, repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance activitiesLead, coach, and support workshop personnel to achieve safety, quality, and performance objectivesMonitor fleet availability, maintenance schedules, and breakdown response to minimise operational downtimeManage relationships with suppliers, contractors, OEMs, and warranty providersEnsure accurate maintenance records, compliance documentation, and system updates are maintainedYou will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency, reliability, and cost control.What Makes You GreatTrade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle or Heavy Diesel MechanicStrong experience in fleet, heavy vehicle, or diesel maintenance environmentsProven leadership and team supervision skills suits your profileSound knowledge of safety, compliance, and maintenance documentation requirementsYou have excellent planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilitiesStrong computer literacy and experience using maintenance management systemsWhy you will love working with usELGAS operates the largest LPG transport fleet in Australia through Select Logistics and Transport which are all part of the Linde family.
