We have seven retail stores and workshops around Melbourne.
We assist customers in purchasing ride-on mowers, lawnmowers, chainsaws, log splitters, arborist gearand other outdoor gardenequipment and we assist in the maintenance and repair of that equipment.We are looking for someone who will initially start as an Assistant Store Manager and who has the ambition to become Store Manager at our Cranbourne store.The ideal candidate needs to havea passion for sales, a proven sales record and enjoy serving and assisting people and have experience in managing a small team.
An interest in mechanical or motorized equipment would be an advantage.
Thisis a full time permanent position that includesweekend work.You will need to have:a passion for sales and good customer service skillsan eagerness to learn and seek personal growthexcellent organizational skillsexcellent written communication skills (i.e.: spelling and grammar)proficiency in inventorymanagement and POS systems.ability tospeak clearly and confidently on the phoneIT competency in excel, word and outlooka love for work,



be industrious and enjoy being part of a teamcurrent drivers license and own vehiclemechanical aptitude or experience in outdoor power equipment would be an advantageSpecific duties include:in-store salesanswering inbound calls and assisting with customer queriesupkeep of store i.e.: updating merchandising and cleanliness of storedaily closures: cash handling procedures and accurate daily sales reconciliationsbecoming very familiar with our stock and also competitors pricinglooking at the marketing and promotional aspects of the business and feeding information back to head officefilling-in for store managertaking on management tasks as part of your development to eventually become a store managerattending field days and trade shows if requiredThe Red Shed is a growing and secure company offering you stability.
