The organisation delivers essential services and infrastructure while maintaining a strong focus on sustainable community outcomes.The OpportunityAn immediate opportunity is available for an experienced Finance Coordinator to support the Council's finance function during a short-term period.
This is a casual contract commencing as soon as possible with an expected end date of 18th of December ****.Daily responsibilities are expected to include:Supporting daily financial administration and transaction processingCoordinating accounts payable and accounts receivable activitiesAssisting with bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenancePreparing routine financial reports and supporting month-end processesMonitoring invoices,



purchase orders and supporting documentationResponding to finance enquiries and liaising with internal Council teamsMaintaining accurate financial records and audit-ready documentationSupporting the broader finance team with urgent priorities as requiredAbout YouRecent Local Government finance experience is essential.
You will be comfortable stepping into an established Council setting, supporting day-to-day financial operations and contributing with minimal lead time.You will be organised, reliable and able to work effectively in a remote regional location for the duration of the assignment.What's On OfferThis is an immediate short-term contract through to 18 December ****.
Accommodation in addition to travel to and from the community will be covered by the Council.
