With more than 50 years of industry experience, we are committed to delivering safe, reliable and efficient mining solutions while creating long-term career opportunities for our people.What's on Offer******* roster | 12-hour day shiftsPermanent full-time position based at Blackwater WorkshopCompetitive hourly rate up to $*****/hr + superWork on major mining equipment and componentsStable, long-term employment with a leading mining contractorOpportunities to develop your technical skills and progress your careerAbout the RoleAs a Component Fitter, you will be responsible for the removal, inspection, repair, rebuild and installation of components across a range of heavy mining equipment.You will work as part of a professional workshop team, ensuring components are rebuilt and returned to service safely, efficiently and in accordance with OEM specifications.Your key responsibilities will include:Performing component change-outs, strip-downs, inspections, overhauls and rebuildsAssessing components to identify wear, damage and repair requirementsCompleting planned maintenance,



repairs and component rebuilds safely and efficientlyFault finding and troubleshooting mechanical issuesTesting and recommissioning components to OEM standardsAccurately recording and reporting maintenance activitiesWorking to site procedures, safety standards and OEM specificationsMaintaining a clean, safe and productive workshop environmentWorking collaboratively with the broader maintenance team to meet operational requirementsYour Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will be a trade-qualified Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic or equivalent with experience working on heavy mining equipment and components.Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic or equivalentProven experience in heavy mining equipment maintenance and/or component rebuildsStrong understanding of earthmoving machinery and mechanical componentsHands-on experience stripping, assessing, rebuilding and testing componentsStrong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skillsExperience working to OEM specifications and maintenance standardsExperience with CAT ET and SIS diagnostic systems is highly regardedA strong commitment to safety and quality workmanshipThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamA reliable and proactive approach, with the ability to meet deadlines and changing prioritiesWhy MacKellar?
