We are currently seeking a Medical Waste Driver to join a busy and growing operation based in Stapylton, with work covering healthcare facilities and collection points across the region.This is a 3-month temporary position with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment for the right candidate.The RoleThis position involves much more than simply driving from A to B. You'll be responsible for the safe collection, transport and delivery of medical waste bins, while providing professional service to customers along your allocated routes.Safely operating a company HR vehicleCollecting and delivering medical waste bins to healthcare facilities and designated collection pointsLoading and unloading bins, including bins weighing up to 30kgMoving and handling bins safely using correct manual handling techniquesFollowing allocated routes and schedules to ensure timely collections and deliveriesCompleting vehicle and safety checks as requiredCommunicating with the dispatch team and supervisors regarding deliveries, delays or issuesProviding professional and respectful customer serviceFollowing all workplace health, safety and environmental proceduresWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is reliable,



physically fit and takes pride in their work.You will ideally have:Current HR licence – automatic licence acceptedPrevious delivery or transport driving experienceA strong work ethic and excellent attendanceThe ability to work independently and manage scheduled routesGood communication and customer service skillsA strong commitment to workplace health and safetyThe physical capability to repeatedly lift and move bins weighing up to 30kgThe ability to undertake regular bending, lifting, standing and manual handlingAn understanding that this is a hands-on driving and waste collection role, not simply a point-to-point driving positionForklift licence advantageous but not essentialHours & PayMonday to FridayOccasional weekend and public holiday work may be requiredStart times can vary between 12:00am and 5:00pm, depending on the allocated runTypical shifts are 8-12 hours$***** per hour + penaltiesOvertime and applicable allowances paid in accordance with the Waste Management Award3-month temporary assignment with potential for permanent employmentPre-Employment RequirementsSuccessful applicants will be required to complete the following prior to commencement:Workplace health & safety requirementsNational Police CheckDrug and alcohol screeningEvidence of Hepatitis A & B vaccinationCOVID-19 vaccination preferredWhy Apply?
