Senior Support Worker - across 3 SIL Homes (Casual)Lead on the floor, not from a spreadsheet.Able Mentor Services is looking for experienced support workers ready to take the lead across our three Supported Independent Living homes in Coopers Plains and Wellington Point.
This is a hands-on senior role: you'll work shifts in all three houses, and you'll set the standard for how they run.
We may appoint more than one person.WHAT YOU'LL DOWork regular shifts across the three homes as the senior worker on the floor — you'll know every house, every team and every person we support thereBe the go-to for the team on shift: modelling valuable practice, coaching newer workers, escalating earlyKeep each house running: support plans followed, medications and records in order, incidents reported properly and on time, and the same standard in all threeWork with the Director and coordinators on rosters, each person's goals and the small things that make a home feel like a homeBuild honest working relationships with the people we support, their families, support coordinators and other providersWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORAt least two years' disability support experience, including SIL or similar 24/7 settingsExperience implementing behaviour support plans, including restrictive practice reporting obligationsNDIS Worker Screening Clearance (current, or applied),



current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009), NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate, and right to work in AustraliaOpen Queensland driver licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle — driving between the three homes is part of the role, kilometre allowance paidConfident with shift notes, incident reporting and digital care management systemsGood availability across a varied roster, including weekends and occasional sleepovers or nightsCertificate IV in Disability or Diploma of Community ServicesExperience leading a small team or acting as senior on shiftMedication administration and manual handling trainingWHY THIS ROLESCHADS Level 3 casual rates plus penalties, with an expected regular pattern of around 32 hours a week across the three houses and a six-month review of the role and your engagementA Director who works alongside the team and backs your decisionsGenuine authority across the houses: you'll be trusted to keep all three running wellAble Mentor Services (Ability Mentor Solutions Pty Ltd) is an NDIS provider.
